GenSet Hybrid Pilot Project in Collaboration with JKR

Working closely with JKR and other technical collaborators, Trive Group Property Berhad and GESB is involved in the development of a series of highly efficient, cost effective and 100% environmentally friendly energy storage solutions (“ESS”) based on Trive Group Property Berhad Tech’s green battery packs. The ESS essentially complement and supplement existing diesel fuel power generators (“gensets”) already installed and being used, to form a GenSet Hybrid System. The ESS were tested by JKR in its R&D laboratory and test results were very encouraging. This led to the ESS being approved for testing by the Ministry of Education (“MOE”) Malaysia under a pilot project, i.e. in a field scenario, through the deployment of the ESS system at a school in Lepong Gaat, Kapit, Sarawak in November 2010. Test results are currently being compiled and analysed, and if the ESS system delivers the cost and energy savings as promised, the MOE will implement the installation of the ESS system for all its schools in rural and remote areas currently run on gensets. GenSet Hybrid Overview

• 8am-1pm: Genset will run for 5 hours to power the school loads and charge the green battery.
• 1pm-7pm: Direct AC power systems by green battery provide required energy.
• 7pm-12am: Genset will operate for another 5 hours to power the school loads and charge the green battery.
• 12am-8am: Green battery will again provide the energy required by the school.
